Falling into Autumn - musically speaking

Monday, August 27, 2007
Damn if I don't already have my head under a pile of leaves.

Check Iron and Wine's new single "Boy With a Coin." It is damn fantastic! But on the other hand, most people don't dig on them as much as I do. And it fits my mood of late.

Also check out another brilliant Canadian band (all the good ones seem to be Canadian lately), called Great Lakes Swimmers. They label themselves "Ambient/Folk" on my space and somehow that is a great title for a lot of the folk music coming out these days (Iron and Wine, Band of Horses, etc.) At least the stuff I have been diggin' on.

I think I already told you about Fionn Regan, but if you like Ray Lamontagne, Amos Lee, Brandi Carlisle, etc, check Joe Purdy. Maybe I will attach links to those at some point.

But now that I think about it, though Emily shares most of my musical taste, no one else I know really does (other than one or two at the station). So listen to what you want.

Peace!
